Privacy Policy
This policy explains what we collect when you visit firmhour.com or join our launch list, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to this website and to the text messages we send. The FirmHour application and its industry sites have their own policy inside the product.
What we collect
- What you give us. When you join the launch list we collect your email address and your trade, and, if you choose to provide them, your name, business name and mobile phone number, together with whether you ticked the box agreeing to receive text messages and when.
- What our systems record. The page you submitted from, the date and time, your IP address, your country as reported by our hosting provider, and your browser type. We use these to keep the form working and to stop abuse.
Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site, such as which pages are viewed and roughly where visitors come from. It sets cookies in your browser and sends usage data to Google, which processes it on our behalf. We do not use advertising trackers, and we do not use analytics data to identify you personally. You can block these cookies in your browser settings or with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
How we use it
- To tell you when FirmHour and your trade's site open, and to send early-access invitations.
- To send you text messages if, and only if, you agreed to them (see Mobile messaging below).
- To answer questions you send us.
- To keep the site and form secure and prevent misuse.
Mobile messaging (SMS)
Your mobile information will not be sold or shared with third parties for promotional or marketing purposes.
Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are excluded from every category of sharing described in this policy. We do not share, sell, rent, transfer or disclose your mobile phone number or your SMS consent to any third party or affiliate for their own marketing or promotional use, with or without payment.
- What you get. If you tick the SMS consent box on our form and give us your mobile number, FirmHour will send you text messages with launch updates, early-access invitations and account notifications.
- Frequency and cost. Message frequency may vary. Standard message and data rates may apply. Consent is not a condition of purchase.
- Opting out. Reply STOP to any message to cancel at any time. You will receive one final message confirming you are unsubscribed, and no further messages. You can also email us at the address below.
- Help. Reply HELP to any message, or email us at the address below.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Who we share information with
We share personal information only with service providers who process it on our behalf and under our instructions, so that we can run the site and send you the emails and text messages you asked for. We may share your personal data, including your SMS opt-in or consent status, with these providers only as needed to deliver those messages. They may not use it for anything else. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with affiliates or partner businesses for their marketing.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the rights, safety or property of FirmHour, our users or others.
How long we keep it
We keep your signup details for up to 2 years after your last interaction with us, or until you ask us to delete them. We keep records of your SMS consent and any opt-out for at least 4 years after your last message, so we can show that messages were sent with permission and honour your opt-out. When you open a FirmHour account, our account privacy policy takes over for that data.
Your choices
- Email [email protected] to see, correct or delete what we hold about you, or to be removed from the launch list.
- Reply STOP to any text message to stop receiving texts.
Children
This site is for business owners and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
